My life as a semi-serious photographer started with an introductory photo class in early 2000. I was lucky enough to find a class with an early student of Jerry Uelsmann, and that influence has never left my style.
My undergraduate and graduate degrees both engage deeply with the delicate interface between humanity and our environment, and my photography tends to also reflect this concern. I'm not a big fan of the 'center' of places. Interesting things happen on the periphery. The boundaries of space and time hold a deep fascination for me.
I made the conversion to digital in 2006. Although I miss the darkroom occasionally, I do enjoy the freedom that pixels provide.
